Succulent Accents for a Great Marsh Estate Wedding

Rustic meets couture in this beautiful green and blue wedding day with succulent accents at Great Marsh Estate! Brittany and Mike’s wedding ranged from the formal courtyard of the Bealeton, VA, estate to the restored stables and everywhere in between, allowing them to marry country charm with breathtaking glamour for their wedding day style! Lieb Photographic made this couple look like a Vogue spread, but this Real Wedding is as much about two soulmates as it is about serious style! Thanks to May June Events‘ planning and Love Blooms DC‘s stunning floral hoop, everything looked picture perfect!

How do you balance couture wedding style with rustic details? Bride Brittany shows how beautifully with her wedding day style, dreaming over her Pnina Tornai princess dress for the ceremony and accenting the invitations designed by Every Little Letter with succulent accents. The green and white invitations showcased a hand drawn invitation of Great Marsh Estate, where the wedding would take place.

Love Blooms DC brought the blue and green color scheme to life in the bride’s organic bouquet, filled with greenery and white flowers with succulent accents! The looks on her bridesmaids’ faces said it all when Brittany made her first appearance in her sparkling lace ballgown – she looked in Cinderella in her stunning gown!

Yisell Santos Hair and Make Up managed to find the perfect balance of rustic and glamorous for the bride’s beautiful hairstyle, creating an intricate braided crown leading into a half-up curled tail. Brittany chose powder blue off the shoulder bridesmaid dresses from Revelry to complement the lush green grounds of the estate in bloom!

Brittany and Mike shared an instant connection after meeting online – their first date lasted for hours! The bride said, “Our personalities are different but mesh really well. He is the more relaxed jokester, the outgoing one. And I am the very type A, introverted, quiet one.”

Everything changed for their relationship when Mike proposed during a hike at the National Arboretum and of course, Brittany said yes! They held their engagement session there a year later with Lieb Photographic.

The couple held their First Look in the West Courtyard, taking the chance for an intimate moment together before the wedding began!

Guests made their way to the Stables for the reception, where the estate had converted a historic barn into the perfect rustic celebration space!

The bride and groom embraced the country charm of the barn venue with farm tables and cane back chairs, greenery garlands as centerpieces, and potted succulent wedding favors! They added hand lettered acrylic table numbers and chair signs with a whimsical script.

Dessert was all about the cake – and the mini pies! Bijous Sweet Treats LLC created their greenery-wrapped semi-naked wedding cake, as well as a selection of petite pies displayed on rustic metal trays to create a beautiful dessert display.

For the reception, Brittany changed into a form-fitting Jude Jowilson dress that could not have been more stunning. The couple added a personal touch with a Dabke performed by a Middle Eastern dance troupe before dancing the night away!

Since they had fallen in love with the fact that their venue was not only beautiful but so close to nature, it only made sense to hold a portrait session surrounded by greenery! The couple wandered the grounds to capture these stunning moments that showcased the natural beauty of the place they chose to get married.
