Graceful fine art photography by The Fourniers gives this gorgeous shoot an airy look that sets off the delicate colors of mauve, dusty blue, and blush pink. Details and planning by Jeannene Lillie Events created a garden party worthy of a queen in this beautiful Michigan wedding filled with vintage vibes and romantic details. The warm stone facade of the Grand Rapids wedding venue, Venue3Two, served as a perfect ceremony backdrop with a climbing floral arch by Kills Custom Creations to frame the doorway.
Vintage Vibes for a Garden Party Wedding in Grand Rapids
This event design is all about the graceful details! Stunning accessories by All About Romance brought in the signature colors of dusty blue and blush pink with a floral adorned headpiece and hoop earrings. Lupine Letters‘ beautiful stationery design also brought the palette into the wedding invitations with dusty blue and taupe invitations on handmade paper. Illustrations of the venue added a personalized touch, along with a custom floral monogram.
A garden wedding should be all about the flowers! Kills Custom Creations‘ bouquet knocked it out of the park, with a bridal clutch of pink, coral, cream, and white to suit the old-fashioned elegance of the Grand Rapids wedding venue and the bride’s ethereal dress.
This delicate A-line wedding dress from Renee Austin Bridal in Grand Rapids is as romantic as it gets! The off the shoulder bishop sleeves add an old-world quality to top off the gently sweeping skirt and low corseted back. This gown perfectly mixes elegant with a touch of sexy thanks to the curve hugging silhouette and romantic bodice.
The team chose Venue3Two for the venue, thanks to the stunningly restored 1920’s mansion on the estate! The front door created a breathtaking ceremony backdrop, with an arched flower pillar that framed the entryway and picked up the tones of cream stone with gorgeous ivory roses. Greenery, coral flowers, and hints of blush contributed to the romantic ceremony set up on the front lawn of the estate.
Who doesn’t love a man in a stylish suit? This mauve suit jacket from The Black Tux is a complete showstopper, especially when paired with a black vest, pants, and velvet loafers! The groom’s attire added a chic touch to the historic venue and 20’s charm of the setting.
The wedding reception on the terrace had a charming Bridgerton-inspired vibe! A vintage console table stood in as the seating chart display for this intimate garden wedding, holding cut glass bud vases adorned with the couple’s custom floral monogram as both an escort card and a keepsake of the beautiful day.
The long dining tables boasted festoons of flowers at the base, repurposing the ceremony aisle decor to accent the reception design.
The cream stone mansion was a natural complement to the powder blue and blush tones of the outdoor reception dinner. The soft color palette perfectly suited the graceful flowers with ikebana-style dishes of garden arrangements running down the length of the tables, lit by taper candles in hurricane vases and delicate votives to add a romantic glow.
A vintage pedestal table became the perfect way to show off the two tier wedding cake by Milk + Honey, with simple white layers and a gold deckled edge. The flowers created an overflowing garden motif around the base of the cake and flowing down onto the terrace floor.
