Welcome to Erin and Evan’s wedding day in downtown Atlanta! This sweet couple met at Statesboro and created a friendship that lasted through college and beyond – luckily the stars aligned for them and resulted in their stunning wedding at Upstairs Atlanta with ShelbyRae Photographs capturing every moment! The couple embraced the rustic industrial vibe of their wedding venue, accenting the exposed beams, white brick walls, and concrete floor with natural greenery and white flowers turned into an indoor garden by Martha McIntosh!
Erin and Evan kept the look fun and unfussy with their invitations, combining sans serif fonts with a modern brush script. The subtle floral detail in matte black hinted at details to come!
Erin’s engagement ring was a knockout! The oval solitaire set in rose gold dazzled against the bride’s unique geometric band and the groom’s brushed metal ring.
Evan proposed during what Erin thought was a ‘girl’s winery day’ at the beautiful Chateau Elan, surprising Erin with an intimate moment on a balcony where the two enjoyed a glass of champagne before being joined by their friends and family!
Martha McIntosh designed the bride’s organic bouquet with a focus on white flowers and greenery. White foxgloves speckled with deep purple were the focal point, with delicate blossoms scattered with thistle and hellebore to add texture!
Erin created the flower crowns she and her bridesmaids wore herself! She loved the ‘half crown’ look and DIY’ed floral headpieces to accent her romantic half up hairstyle created by Beauty Asylum.
How perfect is this ‘getting ready’ suite at Upstairs Atlanta? The graphic black and white floral print and coral velvet couch made for incredible bridal portraits with Erin’s flowing chiffon wedding dress!
Dusty blue maxi dresses from Show Me Your Mumu added a pop of cool color to the black and white with greenery palette!
Florist Martha McIntosh worked with the rustic industrial vibe of Upstairs Atlanta to create this amazing ceremony backdrop! She created a whimsical deconstructed flower arch out out greenery vines and white blossoms on the venue’s exposed brick walls. Black metal chairs added to the city loft feel of the space, adding the perfect touch of contrast to the airy walls and concrete floors.
Farm tables and Edison bulbs kept the industrial feeling going with the reception decor. They scattered a mix of vases and candles down the center of long wooden tables, each holding a single type of white flower. The result was an intentional and minimal tablescape that looked incredible!
Erin and Evan decided to ditch a traditional wedding cake in favor of donuts! A donut tower with a ‘Happily Ever After’ topper dominated their dessert display, with a personalized donut wall to allow guests to pick their favorite!
The couple splurged on entertainment, with The PartyUp! Band keeping guests on the dance floor late into the night!
The couple went for ‘fun’ for their reception, treating guests to a photo booth in a vintage bus and a food truck!
