The Best Wedding Dresses of 2015

I am so excited to kick off my year’s end retrospective with one of my favorite features – the best wedding dresses of 2015! From ethereal chiffon gowns to glittering sequin sheathes to floral lace ball gowns – there have been so many stunning dresses gracing the posts of Hey Wedding Lady this year, and I am so excited to share some of my own favorites and the ones that made the biggest impact on my readers!

The incredible champagne lace Monroe gown by MATTHEW CHRISTOPHER was a definite crowd pleaser from it’s debut in March, with the incredible trumpet silhouette and line of tiny buttons from the nape to the end of the exquisite train. I also had the pleasure of debuting several gowns on the blog, including this pleated chiffon dress by CAROL HANNAH with architectural details and flutter sleeves!

Another CAROL HANNAH dress made an impression on the blog, although the taupe raw silk and graceful lines could not have been more different than it’s architectural sister, especially when paired with an eye-catching floral sash.

Sequins are always guaranteed to make a splash, and this glittering sheath with art deco inspired scallops caught the gorgeous light in this late summer shoot!

There’s an excellent reason that CAROLINA HERRERA and Amsale are veterans of the bridal world – the former’s stunning floral lace A-line dress gave this Lake Tahoe beach wedding the style credentials of the Hamptons, while the latter’s sleek, backless lace sheath was paired with edgy gold jewelry and vibrant peonies for an unforgettable boho vibe.

Colored gowns were one of the hallmarks for 2015, like this incredible floral print KATE MCDONALD dress with a plunging neckline and hints of gold foil – this one is definitely a personal favorite! Of course, the sheer romance of EMILY RIGGS‘ couture gown of floral lace and blush chiffon has a special place in my heart as well.

Reem Acra and Hayley Paige both made excellent use of floral lace this year – the former incorporated a delicate embroidered pattern and illusion netting into an on-trend off-the-shoulder silhouette with a flowing skirt to gorgeous effect, while the former created a chic bustier and delicately embellished ball gown that has no shortage of drama!
