Retro Candy Shop Anniversary Shoot

This adorable candy shop anniversary shoot is the sweetest way possible to celebrate the first year of marriage! Wedding blogs are a wonderful way to glean inspiration for the big day, but the wedding day is just one step in a much longer journey. It’s wonderful to take the time to celebrate the milestones in that journey, which Danielle and Paul did with their 365 Days of Love anniversary shoot. They chose to celebrate with this charming candy colored shoot with a retro pastel palette and a gorgeous spot alongside Lake Ontario, with Jessica Little Photography there to document every gorgeous moment. Blooms & Bowties crafted a darling shoot with whimsical details right out of a fifties soda shop and every imaginable sweet treat.

The couple toasted to one year of married life with pink lemonade, adorned with colored ribbons and sipped through polka-dotted straws. Their cheerful lakeside table was strewn with confetti in their palette of pastel pink, mint, and yellow, with appropriately candy-striped boxes overflowing with salt water taffy. A truly epic dessert display Sweet Celebrations Wedding Cakes and Candy by Katie beautifully carried the theme, with tons of confetti-colored treats! To work off the intense sugar buzz, Danielle and Paul took a bike ride along the lakeside – on a pastel beach cruiser, of course! They picnicked on the shore with a pair of adorable pink balloons with multi-colored tassels, before enjoying the sunset over the lake. Cheers to many more wonderful years – and charming shoots! – together!
