Modern Glam Autumn Wedding in Fig and Gold

It’s truly an honor to be able to share this amazing modern glam wedding shoot from the phenomenal Michelle Leo Events and Pepper Nix Photography! Michelle has become one of my favorite designers and sources for inspiration, for her impeccable and personal wedding planning as much as the truly phenomenal styled shoots that she designs. Today’s shoot is no exception, with every detail created to bring out the best of the design as a whole and an incredible team of wedding and event professionals to help her vision become a reality. The modern Alpine lodge at Camp Cloud Rim provided the perfect setting for this shoot, with the aspen groves around Lake Brimhall turned brilliant gold for late September. In order to maximize that gorgeous, natural color, Michelle chose to utilize reflective surfaces in mirrored tables from ZGallerie.

While the incredible fiery gold of the aspen trees became the dominant hue, Michelle offset it with an equally regal color in deep fig. Luxurious hints of rich purple bloomed against the gold setting in vivid floral arrangements, custom designed calligraphy details, and exquisite cakes topped with fruits and flowers. The place settings picked up the beautifully gilded elements of the tabletop, with gold glasses and flatware, and chargers that echoed the delicate underlying tracery of natural leaves.

The bridal styling had the same level of care devoted to it, with a silk damask ball gown from Modern Trousseau that was a beautiful complement of the sumptuous design of the table. The bridesmaids looked every inch as stylish in floor length gowns from Amsale & Ivy & Aster in varying shades of purple, with gorgeous, colorful bouquets that perfectly fit the mountain setting. The absolute joy of a Michelle Leo Events is in the details – the figs split open atop one of Cake-A-Licious‘ naked cakes, the birch bark liner papers on Moira Design Studio‘s elegant eggplant and gold stationery, and the almost too-pretty-to-eat cheese, fruit, and chocolate display with pomegranate champagne from Brown Brothers Catering!
