Magical Elopement Portraits Capture this Intimate Italian Destination Wedding

When Luis and Shauna decided to cap off their Italian adventure with an impromptu elopement, they turned to destination planner In Tuscany Wedding to help pull it all together! Inspired by the epic romance of their time in Rome, Venice, and Cinque Terre, the couple wanted to capture the magic of Italy for their destination elopement and found the perfect venue in Villa La Selva. The stunning villa in the Valle dell’Ambra was once the seat of Medici nobles, providing both rich history and luxurious surroundings for this traveling couple! Amazing portraits by Gabriele Fani made sure the newlyweds would have wedding memories to treasure and share with family back in Minnesota!

Shauna’s exquisite Kelly Faetanini wedding gown accentuated her delicate frame.
The romantic stretch satin design featured floral appliques with a dramatic plunge
back. The Tuscan Beauty Wedding team created Shauna’s wedding look,
enhancing her beauty with Hollywood glamour inspired makeup and an elegant up-
do, finished with a delicate pink bloom. Shauna accessorised her bridal look with
Betsey Johnson peep-toe, lace pumps with the addition of a diamond bracelet and
matching earrings. Shauna’s bridal style was simple, classic and timeless.

Family run florist Stiatti Fiori, created florals in subtle pastel hues, rich creams,
dusty rose and expressive foliage. Shauna’s bouquet was composed of beautiful
blush and neutral blooms including roses, dahlias and astilbe.

Luis was dressed in a traditional, tailored black suit, paired with stylish brown leather shoes and silver cufflinks. Luis complimented his polished look with a blush pink tie and simple boutonniere, in keeping with Shauna’s beautiful bouquet.

Sharing a precious pre-ceremony moment, Shauna completely took Luis’ breath
away with a first-look reveal. The civil ceremony took place in the beautifully
manicured grounds, surrounded by the sprawling Chianti vineyards. Bride and groom
were framed by a stunning floral arch, featuring expressive, dreamy blooms and
cascading eucalyptus. Flanked by cypress trees with the hazy September sunshine
overhead, Luis and Shauna’s exchange of vows was intimate and incredibly
romantic, a moment they would cherish forever.

After Luis and Shauna had said ‘I do’, the newlyweds celebrated with a refreshing
glass of Champagne, toasting their future as husband and wife. Photographer
Gabriele Fani captured a mix of portrait and candid imagery under the warm Tuscan
sun, creating unforgettable memories in a truly impressive setting.

As the sun set, casting a golden hue across the dreamy landscape, an intimate
dinner for two awaited the newly married couple. Surrounded by cascading florals
and flickering candlelight, Luis and Shauna indulged in an authentic Italian feast.
Provided by Villa La Selva’s personal chef, dishes included Courtyard Pie, Ragu
Tagliatelle and Champagne Risotto. A delicate Mille-feuille acted as Luis and
Shauna’s wedding cake, a unique and delightful alternative to a traditional cutting
cake. Beautiful, simplistic dinner menus featured elegant script font, bespoke laser
cut place settings and the addition of gold and silver antique votives created a
romantic and decadent tablescape.

Kaleydo provided the music throughout the wedding day, adding the perfect
ambience throughout their ceremony, sunset dinner and first dance.
