Indie Elopement in Joshua Tree with Citrus Details

Take a trip to the sun soaked desert with this indie elopement inspiration in Joshua Tree! Gina Purcell Photography captured this boho wedding style at a Styled Shoots Across America workshop dreamed up by Jessica Schmuckle Photography & Events, combining the 70’s style that makes Joshua Tree a one of a kind California destination. The setting at Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Garden & Labyrinth inspired the gorgeous yellow and orange color palette, accented by the dusty green of succulents and plenty of agate and macrame details that look right at home in the desert while being perfectly on-trend!

Stationery designer Sam Allen Creates celebrated the gorgeous desert landscape where the elopement inspiration took place with an invitation suite in sunset colors. The watercolor flower details echoed the beautiful shades of the desert, with succulent accents to tie into the floral decor!

The bride’s accessories were on point, from glam Bella Belle Shoes to the hand painted denim jacket by The Mrs Jacket from Revelle Bridal!

A BHLDN wedding dress was the perfect pick for this boho bride, with lace bell sleeves to create a retro 70’s vibe!

Hair and makeup artist Krystyl Hernandez created a breezy braided crown to keep the look boho-chic, and Kristin Smith Floral Concepts accented it with a flower crown in shades of yellow, gold, and orange to match the desert inspired bouquet.

A tan suit for the groom kept his look light for the desert, and an emerald green tie added a little color to his neutral styling!

Details, details! Loving this hand painted tambourine to match the floral print invitations!

The reception at Tumbleweed Sanctuary, Garden & Labyrinth channeled an updated 70’s vibe, with colorful patterned linens and peacock chairs from Touched By Time Vintage Rentals. Hand lettered agate place cards completed each place setting, topping colorful linen napkins and patterned china. Gold flatware gave the rustic farm table decor a modern touch!

Macramama created a macrame backdrop for the cake table that nearly stole the show! The three tiered nearly naked cake by Miranda’s Sweet Treats was topped with fresh and candied citrus slices for a colorful dessert display!
