Enchanting Italian Destination Wedding at a Tuscan Villa

Come away to the Tuscan countryside with today’s Italian destination wedding from Lelia Scarfiotti Photography! Local wedding planner, Tuscania Events, was integral to planning Meghan and Justin’s overseas wedding, with intimate knowledge of Italian wedding professionals and marriage licenses. Guests attending their intimate celebration stayed at the tranquil Tenuta San Pietro, a 13th century Inn that also hosted the reception. The enchanting hilltop venue afforded panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including quintessential Italian vistas of vineyards and olive groves. It could not have been a more gorgeous location to welcome guests traveling from the States to celebrate with this lovely couple!

In keeping with local custom, they exchanged vows in the mountain chapel of San Marco a Rigoli, in the nearby village of Lucca. The surrounding countryside made for the most picturesque of backdrops for Meghan and Justin’s portraits! Meghan selected separates for her bridal attire, with a delicate lace top over a sweetheart bodice, topping a voluminous skirt of silk taffeta. Blush pointed-toe pumps and a sleek beehive hairdo gave her wedding day look a sweetly retro vibe, perfect for an Italian wedding! Fleur Decor created a bouquet beautifully in keeping with her romantic styling: a clutch of blush garden roses and rosebuds. Lush garden flowers in rustic wooden boxes decorated the reception, with decor kept simple to allow the elegance of the setting to take center stage. Guests found their seats with calligraphed tags around the necks of bottles of local wine, doubling as both place cards and favors! The reception took place on the open-air terrace surrounding the villa, with a gorgeous view of the Italian sky overhead.
