It’s not too early for spring wedding inspiration, is it? Today’s French flower shop design comes from my readiness for fresh, green growing things and lots of spring flowers! To get myself in the spring spirit, I started with dreamy, pastel shades in delphinium blue and lilac. Ivory details add to the French aesthetic – intricate lace and lush florals pair perfectly with the delicate palette. This design would obviously be wonderfully executed for a garden wedding, but it would also be an ideal fit for one of my favorite venues – a greenhouse wedding!
To execute the perfect greenhouse wedding, work with the nursery’s seasonal planting – half the work is already done by the venue! Line the aisle with natural wood planter boxes overflowing with cottage flowers, which can then be moved to adorn tables for the reception. Cluster single kinds of flowers in tin buckets and chalk table numbers on slate for a flower market feel. Provide butcher paper and twine for guests to make their own arrangements of the floral decor to take home in lieu of favors!
