If you have never seen the incredibly creative, stunningly beautiful show Pushing Daisies, here’s a little preview to whet your appetite! The wonderful black comedy follows Ned, an adorable man with talents for baking pies and waking the dead. Awkwardly charming Ned brings his childhood sweetheart back to life with a single touch, but due to the consequences of his gift, can never touch her again.
Not the most romantic concept for a wedding inspiration, you’re thinking. In the hands of Bryan Fuller, this dearly departed show managed to craft a charming love story told in charmingly retro style with a candy colored palette. A Pushing Daisies styled wedding celebrates the unabashed kitsch of the Technicolor era to resemble a storybook come to life. The impeccably styled undead heroine, Chuck, would feel right at home in this tea length wedding dress by Dana Bolton, accented by candy apple red shoes, while her Pie Maker keeps things dapper in a slim fitting suit and skinny tie. A honeycomb motif is the perfect, whimsical signature pattern to echo the bee theme of the show, accented by sunny colors and, of course, daisies!
