When it comes to styling for the summer, I love nothing more than a bold wedding palette! Red and purple are traditionally the hardest colors to pair together, but there’s nothing better than nailing a tricky color pairing.
The key to making this palette work is to gently vary the hues in the red and purple pairings. Today’s inspiration board creates similarity between the dusky colors in the crimson and plum tones, creating a subtle variance by adding just a bit more or less blue. The rich colors stand out like vivid jewels against the background, making a grand statement no matter what the setting.
Although the central tones make a regal splash of color, I wanted to keep today’s inspiration relaxed and romantic, in keeping with a summer wedding. Loose, unstructured blooms in centerpieces and adorning the backs of chairs echo that free-spirited feeling. Flowing fabrics and fresh summer fruit add beautiful colors while keeping with the easy-going nature of the design.
