A Wedding Day with the Colors and Flavors of SoCal

When it came time to plan their wedding day, Natalia and Eric wanted to introduce their family and friends to their favorite flavors of SoCal! Their vision combined the rustic + bohemian lifestyle that they had fallen in love with in LA with the elegance and timeless grandeur of their venue, Greystone Mansion. Guests were treated to a colorful – and flavorful wedding day that was an experience unlike any wedding they had been to! Kristen Honeycutt Photo Co. captured the vivid colors and raw emotion in captivating Southern California light, while P.S. & Associates Event Planning and Natalia Rinder Los Angeles made sure everything reflected the couple’s plans and style!

A Wedding Day with the Colors and Flavors of SoCal

A couple who first met at the Zombie Prom and first felt the spark of chemistry while discussing brain functions were sure to have a wedding day that was anything but ordinary. They envisioned a wilderness of flowers and greenery to soften the stone facade of Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills, combining their love of their hometown with a welcoming experience for their guests.

Natalia’s bridal look was the perfect example of their blend of bohemian style with a hint of drama! Her moscato pink mermaid dress from Essence of Australia rang every bell, from the low open back to the eye catching train embellished with beadwork and French lace embroidery. The hint of pink in the layers of lace and tulle played off the vibrant fuchsia and coral bouquet she carried, and the flower crown that was a nod to her Polish heritage as much as the perfect bohemian bridal accessory. Her bridesmaids wore similar flower circlets with their floor length lavender dresses for a sweet and sophisticated color palette! Eric went for a modern take on a formal groom’s look in a charcoal gray suit from Hugo Boss – his lavender paisley tie beautifully played off their wedding party colors, and his socks were hand picked by the bride-to-be to ensure he didn’t get ‘cold feet’!

For their ceremony, this lovely pair managed to combine both their loves of color and tradition. Roots and Stems created a Chuppah from birch timbers, draped in billowing linen and accented with garlands of silver dollar eucalyptus adorned with colorful flowers. The wild elegance of their floral elements added a lovely counterpoint to the formal gardens of their venue, and allowed them to incorporate many personal details to their ceremony, from kippahs hand crocheted by the mother of the groom to the heirloom kiddush cup that had been handed down from his parents’ wedding ceremony. The couple shared an intimate moment surrounded by their loved ones as they were wrapped in a colorful tallit to bind them together.

After the exchange of vows, the guests entered a new kind of cocktail hour! Eric and Natalia had chosen to share some of their favorite flavors of SoCal during the reception, from cheese mongers educating guests on the hand selected cheeses from their favorite local shops, an artisanal coffee cart with a local barista pouring beautiful rosetta latte art, and his and hers craft cocktails served by a mixologist. Whoa Nelly Catering served dinner family style on long farm tables to create a sense of unity with their guests. The dark wood beautifully suited the elegant stone courtyard where guests enjoyed dinner, with hand calligraphed wooden signage and garlands of eucalyptus and white roses to add rustic charm. They set the tables with  colorful vintage table settings with alternating the plate patterns to create an eclectic feel, and placed a favor of chocolate covered espresso beans at each place setting, to signify their two favorite treats coming together as one!
