Warm and Cozy Snowfall Engagement Portraits

Jordan and Ashley are about to walk down the aisle at their winter wonderland wedding at the end of the year, but they got an early start with this cozy snowfall engagement session! This lovely pair wanted nothing more than a snowy winter engagement, says Xiomara of Imago Dei Photography, who followed them on their trek through the forest. That seemed like a slim chance, as winters on the Oregon Coast tend more towards rainfall than snow. The patron saint of Really Gorgeous Engagement Portraits must have been listening, because a heavy snowfall blanketed the coastal forests just one day before their session! A thick dusting of snow covered the soaring fir trees and covered the forest path. Ashley and Jordan bundled up in pea coats and hats for a walk through the most perfect winter forest they could have asked for!

The engagement miracles didn’t stop at the gorgeous layers of thick powder – the snow started to fall again during their portraits! As cold as it must have been, this pair braved the snowfall to capture some of the most enchanting portraits. They cuddled together under a red and black Buffalo plaid blanket to escape the falling snow. The beauty of the winter woods would have been more than enough for a truly captivating engagement session, but these two came prepared! They warmed up with spiced drinks in chalkboard mugs proclaiming their love for each other, snuggled together on a vintage wood toboggan. It’s a surprise these two didn’t melt the snow, as this is one of the most romantic engagements that I’ve had the pleasure to feature! I hope their winter wonderland wedding is everything this couple dreams of!
