Say hello to summer with today’s summer citrus wedding inspiration! A bright and cheerful palette of coral and yellow gets a fresh twist with pops of pale aqua. This combination has become the unofficial palette of my summer – if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen that my feed has been full of peonies and South African pin cushions, gemstone details, and hints of mint! From fresh flower deliveries to The Sketchbook Series, these colors have been everywhere, and who am I not to listen?
Today’s inspiration board is the cool younger sister to last year’s A Splash of Summer – the mint, coral, and gold palette was romantic and sophisticated, while Summer Citrus is relaxed, playful, and unabashedly modern. Billy balls and the sharp yellow of citrus fruit add a pop of sunny color to summery coral, while splashes of aqua add cool, soothing tones. Such a fun, easy-going wedding design doesn’t require too much structure – loose, overflowing arrangements of full-blown summer blooms with clean, minimalist place settings evoke an upscale backyard party. Sparkling cocktails with patterned straws, strands of bistro lights glowing overhead, and my current favorite, marquee lighting, finish off the welcoming, homey atmosphere!
