It’s never too late for a once-in-a-lifetime wedding day, as husband and wife Janae and Tremel can attest! These long-time sweethearts finally got the day of their dreams in this intimate wedding celebration in Honolulu! After seven years of marriage, they got their day in the sun with Vanessa Hicks Photography and the bride’s own beautiful cakes from She Bakes It!

Janae had plenty of practice helping other couples bring their wedding dreams to life, but a hurried engagement when the couple were serving separately in the Air Force meant that her own vision had never come true. After six and a half years as husband and wife, the pair worked with Vanessa Hicks Photography and Vida Chic Events to create wedding memories of their own! Janae envisioned an airy and intimate wedding celebration that captured the beauty of the home they had made together in Hawaii before they were transferred elsewhere. The military couple had an utterly romantic wedding day that they will be able to treasure forever!

The beautiful spread of beach at sunrise would have been breathtaking enough, but Janae managed to build on the natural beauty with her concept of a blush, rose gold, and gray wedding day. Vida Chic Events created her blush pink peony bouquet and lei-inspired headpiece for an elegant tropical feel. The fitted lace dress that she found at B’Ellegance Bridal made all of her bride-t0-be dreams come true with an off the shoulder neckline and sweeping train. Tremel struck the perfect blend of beach chic and timeless style in a gray suit with a crisp white bow tie!

As gorgeous as these nearly newlyweds are, the dessert display created by the bride absolutely stole the show! As the owner of She Bakes It, Janae is well accustomed to creating works of sugar art, and she pulled out all the stops for her own day. A rose gold sea shell inspired cake, individual parfaits, and a flower adorned white wedding cake created a gorgeous dessert display with driftwood signs. For the reception, an intimate kneeling Sweetheart Table was set on the sand, with a neutral palette accented with rose gold. Metallic chargers and laser cut escort cards added a glamorous touch to the relaxed beach reception!
