This combination of modern wedding colors and romantic vintage style is as welcome as a burst of sunshine in the middle of winter! The gardens of Cornerstone Sonoma still stand green and lush after this fall’s devastating fires, and this beautiful shoot is a testament to the endurance and beauty of the Napa Valley wine country. Jenny Soi Photography and NT Events collaborated with some of the Bay Area’s most talented wedding pros to create this shoot – it is always such a pleasure to feature such incredible inspiration from the place I’m privileged to call my home!

Modern Wedding Colors with Vintage Wine Country Style

To create the inspiration for this shoot, lush garden floral arrangements from Laura’s Floras were paired with stylish bohemian bridal separates from Lovely Bride SF. The botanical citrus inspired flowers echoed the natural beauty of the Wine Country setting, while the bride’s long sleeve lace crop top and gray skirt added a modern element. The groom’s three piece suit gave a nod to classical styling, while the soft gray color and botanical boutonniere felt perfectly of the moment!

The surroundings themselves provided plenty of beautiful details to inspire, from the circular greenery ceremony backdrop, to the modern glass and timber greenhouse filled with succulents. A grand farm table and neutral linen chairs gave the reception the perfect wine country touch, with a billowing raw silk linen and hand crafted ceramic place settings to add a textural touch. Vibrant orange kumquats added a bold note to the peach and pastel floral arrangements, with the signature fruit incorporating a citrus accent through the entire design. Paper Heart Patisserie crafted a whimsical layered cake with marbled gray and gold edges to play perfectly against the vibrant fruit. Pastel macarons and blushing pink cocktails played into the juxtaposition of delicate and dramatic with candied kumquat slices to adorn the treats.
