It’s a funny thing – I think it is the sweetest when a friend reaches out to me to request a board for their friend! Reader Andrea got in touch to request art deco wedding inspiration for her best friend who is getting married next month. It may seem like whirlwind wedding planning, but her friend is marrying the love of her life before they move out of the country before the New Year! How could I say no to that?
Andrea elaborated on her friend’s vision for the wedding – she wanted to use a wintry white and gold palette to suit the season, along with rustic wood touches and baby’s breath. The wedding will take place in a garden with a glass house, which sounds enchanting! One key point she wanted to incorporate was a chevron art deco pattern into the invitations. I thought that the new line of metallic glam stationery by Foiled Invitations would be the perfect fit! A subtle antique gold would be the perfect fit for both a winter wedding and a rustic setting – elegant without being too over the top. I’d love to see wreaths of baby’s breath as centerpieces, with clusters of thick, white pillar candles running down long wooden farm tables. Gold mercury glass votives and wreathes of greenery would perfectly finish off the look! Mix in hints 0f a rich burgundy to add a little warmth, along with a few vignettes of white winter flowers, berries, and more greenery in antique compote dishes on accent tables.
