As much as I can’t wait for spring to come, I know I’m going to miss winter weddings! Luckily I have today’s winter chic styled shoot from Carla Ten Eyck Photography for when I need my fill of enchanting, snowy inspiration. The always fabulous Beth Chapman of The White Dress by the Shore used their beautiful woodsy Vermont location to set the style for the gorgeous bridal looks. She used a cabled sweater in cashmere, voluminous tulle ball gowns, and glam statement jewelry to echo the beautiful wintery environment. I love how much thought went into making sure each gorgeous look fit the surroundings as well as the look they were going for!
Nichole Michel of Coral Pheasant utilized that same mix of textures from the bridal styling to make a statement with her table design. She translated the cozy sweaters and layers into a chenille overlay and rustic jute runner, echoing the luxurious textures with delicately patterned china. Her work with the stationery design takes the same exacting attention to detail – a subtle herringbone pattern, mix of fonts and, my personal favorite, lasercut snowflakes all call back to the styling elements throughout the shoot! Not to be outdone by his detail oriented co-designers, Tony of Datura: a Modern Garden wanted to make sure that his floral choices would be available to winter brides. He brought in their key colors of blue and wintry white with hyacinths forced in glass bulbs, early spring tulips, along with thistle and hydrangeas for more texture. A cluster of imported orchids hints at the coming spring!
