Heather Benge Events and Intrigue Designs took full advantage of the state known for beautiful peonies to dream up this pretty in pink shoot filled with colorful, ruffled flowers! The AK Diamond J Ranch outside Homer could not have been a more perfect spot to combine the rugged landscape and elegant event design all in one stunning wedding inspiration shoot!

Westbloom Paper Co ran with the theme of pink peonies for the invitations, working floral print in rich shades of pink into the stationery design! The cream and Kraft paper envelopes suited the rustic venue.

When designing for an Alaskan wedding shoot, floral designer Intrigue Designs knew the focal flower had to be the peony! Alaska Beauty Peony provided locally sourced flowers in fuchsia, bold pink, blush, and white to create the stunning floral arrangements for the shoot, starting with the bride’s ombre cascade bouquet!

The styling team drew inspiration from the romantic qualities of the peonies to create the bride’s look – makeup artist Soigné by J. Seymour pulled a bold pink from the bride’s bouquet to give her a bright lip color, and hair stylist Kelsey Morris went for old-school femininity with a braided crown updo!

The heritage barn at AK Diamond J Ranch outside Homer, Alaska, made for a stunning venue all on its own – Intrigue Designs added a personal touch by creating a ceremony backdrop of colorful peonies and greenery that looked as though it had grown on the barn facade!

The venue set rustic wooden tables under the Alaskan summer sun, with the reception overlooking the stunning vistas of peony fields and horses grazing, with the Kenai Mountains and Kachemak Bay in the distance.

Floral Print Stationery for a Pink Peony Tablescape

Blush silk table linens and gold lace chargers added a romantic touch to the tablescape. Local planner Touch of Saige Events helped designer Heather Benge Events source vintage floral print china and pink Depression glasses from Wild Poppy to create the antique place settings.

This stunning peony runner added ruffled volume to the long farm table, with beautiful blooms interspersed with tapered candles.

Vintage Dessert Display for a Cake with Pink Peonies

The cake table was replaced by a vintage dresser, adorned with Ardy Cakes & Confections three tiered buttercream dessert topped with colorful peonies! A gold foil bear print by local artist Felicity Rae Jones celebrated Alaskan wildlife in the most beautiful way, featuring a flower crown for an added three-dimensional touch!
