West Hollywood Rooftop Party with the Perfect Color Pop

You can feel the summer heat radiate off every snap of this colorful rooftop party shoot in West Hollywood! The roof terrace of The London West Hollywood provides a stunning view of the city from every angle, offering the perfect place for a city chic wedding and reception under the Southern California sun. XOKate Events and Molly and Co. designed this inspiration as a celebration of Los Angeles and the vibrant heart that beats in the city. They dreamed up a neutral color palette for their stylish city bride and groom, beautifully executed by stylist John Dolio Studio, and paired it with pops of jewel toned color from All Friends Floral! This color pop wedding inspiration is as modern and playful as they come!

You can tell you’re in for a world of color from the word ‘go’! This fabulous watercolor invitation designed by Letter and Ink was designed to mimic the vibrancy of Los Angeles and the airy atmosphere of the rooftop venue!

Vintage rings from Trumpet and Horn added a delightful juxtaposition to the bold, modern colors and modern style throughout the rest of the shoot!

To create a once-in-a-lifetime color scheme, XOKate Events paired neutral attire for the bride and groom with vivid colors in their flowers and decor. The sheer tulle wedding dress from En Blanc LA was adorned with hundreds of pearls to add dimension to the nude-colored dress. All Friends Floral handled the jewel toned palette like a pro, mixing together fuchsia peonies, blood orange anthurium, dahlias and tulips. Lambs ear and preserved vines added a desaturated green touch to balance out the bold pairing of purple, orange, coral, and pink!

The neutral palette continued, with a light tan suit for the groom, perfect for a Southern California chic celebration without sacrificing formality!

The creative bold-on-neutral palette was specifically designed to pop against the background when the skyline of West Hollywood threatened to steal the show. Instead, all eyes were on our bride and groom in their gorgeously styled looks! Hair and makeup artist Jackie Makeup knew that playing up color is essential when it comes to styling a close to skintone look, and added blush tones to the gorgeous bride’s lips, cheeks, and eyelids to give her a radiant glow.

How fun is this giant chess set! Molly and Co. used the setting as the perfect bold and modern backdrop to fit the shoot’s aesthetic to a T!

The hundreds of scattered pearls give this sheer wedding dress topper a classic element and the silhouette screams Old Hollywood!

The many modern art installations at The London West Hollywood helped inspired the bold color palette, with a mix of hot pink, orange, and coral standing out agains the stately hotel’s facade.

The captivating city spread out like a postcard below the reception inspired the design for this chic celebration! Gold metallic chairs and a dramatic King’s table in wood and metal dominated the rooftop space, perfect for reveling under the Southern California sun!

All Friends Floral designed the flower arrangements to be both earthy and modern, keeping the base neutral and adding vivid pops of bright color to complement the wood tabletop. Orange and burnt sienna napkins alternated to keep the color scheme playful, with watercolor earthenware place settings from Greystone Table adding subtle texture.

The Sweetheart Table took a softer approach to color, with a mauve velvet tablecloth that added another soft layer to the couple’s color story. With a table for two designed to complement their looks instead of overwhelm them, All Friends Floral opted for smaller centerpieces mixing white and burgundy flowers into minimalist metallic bud vases. The finished effect is a perfect frame for the bride and groom!

Tastebuds Catering gave a Southern California spin to the menu with these popsicle cocktails! Colorful edible flowers and organic fruits were frozen into the perfect summer treat, especially when used to stir a specialty cocktail!

There was one fabulous finale twist in store! The bride’s gorgeous gown turned out to be a two piece – she paired the sheer pearl overlay with a nude bodysuit to give the evening look a playful twist!
