While working with the lovely ladies at Napa Valley Linens, I’ve had the chance to see first hand just how much of an impact the right linens can make on an event. It has been so fun to see brides picking linens with personality and style to suit their vision – bold, playful, elegant, delicate – but my favorite are those visionary brides who know how to pick linens in different colors and patterns and make them all look as though they were made for each other. I used their gorgeous linens to style an event from start to finish with 3 very different colors and patterns
Billie’s Roses in Violet – The subtle design paired with the rich violet color makes this linen perfect for guest tables – the largest visual real estate in any reception. It adds depth to the dining tables while also playing nicely with any kind of arrangement you can think of, like the dripping crystal chandeliers and clouds of fuchsia flowers. Pair it with a matching purple napkin to keep the tables elegant and the focus on the overall effect.
Broadway Black and White – Bold, bright stripes make an effective pop of pattern, and provide a lovely contrast to the guest tables. These are perfect for accent tables – tables at cocktail hour, an eye-catching bar, or a fabulous dessert station boasting goodies in our color scheme. Select gold accents – the perfect finish for all three of these linens – and play them up on the black and white especially. Gleaming gold candleholders, a gold cake topper, and white and gold escort cards will help tie in the three linens.
Rosa-Rosa in Fuchsia -The delicate chiffon rosettes in this beautiful overlay are punched up by their fantastic fuchsia color, which is perfect for the center of attention at a reception: the Head Table or Sweetheart Table. Since the overlay is sheer, it can be paired with an identical color to keep the bright visual, or with the same purple hue as the guest tables to keep them coherent. To make the Head Table even more of a draw, use contrasting flowers, like white or violet, and pick napkins to match.
