A Vintage Garden Wedding in Burgundy and Blush

Hawaii locals Paisley and Bryan knew they wanted something different than a beach wedding! They opted for a vintage garden look for their wedding day in Honolulu, starting with their Italian villa venue at La Pietra. Stunning burgundy, fuchsia, and blush flowers from Su-V Expressions brought the garden to life, especially their jaw-dropping ceremony archway! Island wedding planner Say I Do By Karisa kept things going without a hitch, even after an unexpected downpour threatened to rain out their wedding day and Absolutely Loved Photography made sure capture photos they would cherish for a lifetime!

Paisley found her dream wedding dress on a gown shopping expedition to LA – she fell in love with her Berta wedding dress. The beaded lace sheath had a plunging illusion neckline and detachable tulle train for the perfect fairy tale touch!

Bryan surprised his bride with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels as she got ready for their wedding day!

Paisley’s vision for the wedding revolved around the flowers, and Honolulu florist Su-V Expressions exceeded her dream! The amazing pink flowers prominently featured peonies, with garden roses, blushing bride protea, and amaranthus tassels!

Although Hawaii is famous for beach weddings, Paisley and Bryan knew they wanted something different. They fell in love with La Pietra, an Italian villa nestled at the foot of Diamond Head. The elegant venue inspired their vintage garden theme.

Paisley picked a signature color for her bridal party and let her bridesmaids choose their own burgundy dress. The mismatched bridesmaids and groomsmen in their blue Calvin Klein suits made for a vibrant jewel toned wedding party!

Paisley and Bryan’s wedding day started like any day in paradise, with sun shining down on the gorgeous venue and colorful flowers. Shortly before the ceremony was due to begin, clouds rolled in and the island was caught in a downpour. The stunning couple didn’t let that stop them, and pushed their ceremony back an hour so that it barely sprinkled when they walked down the aisle.

The floral arch was the centerpiece of Paisley and Bryan’s ceremony! The size of it grew and grew during planning sessions with Su-V Expressions, until it became a stunning statement backdrop for their sweet and intimate wedding ceremony.

After the ceremony, the amazing wedding archway and ceremony flowers were repurposed into the reception decor! The gorgeous backdrop doubled as a garland for the Sweetheart Table while the aisle arrangements graced the reception table and bar.

The couple made excellent use of their venue’s natural beauty. They incorporated the space into their wedding plans by adding pink and fuchsia flowers to a wall hung with vines, creating a statement entrance to their wedding reception and an amazing backdrop for photos throughout the night! A custom laser cut sign with their names added a personal touch.

Guests were welcomed to the reception with a glass of champagne at this vintage bar cart. Paisley loved the ‘Press for Champagne’ button that accented the adorable bubbly station!

The couple made sure their French Bulldogs were represented with these adorable custom illustrations of their beloved dogs at the bar!

Edible flowers made sure even their cocktails fit the vintage garden theme!

As it got dark, the courtyard became illuminated with strands of twinkle lights hanging over dining tables and the dance floor.

The couple worked with A Cake Life for their wedding cake and dessert table! They opted for the naked cake look in red velvet with cream cheese frosting, accented with fresh flowers and a custom laser cut topper that matched their glam gold signs! The baker also whipped up their assortment of cupcakes, donuts, cake shots, and mini pies.
