It made perfect sense that a historian and an archaeologist would be inspired by the past for their wedding day – Selin and Phil opted for a vintage garden party theme for their dreamy spring wedding in Princeton, NJ! Selin channeled Old Hollywood glamour in her Catherine Deane gown and pin-up inspired curls, while her new husband looked black tie chic! They added a bright, preppy twist with vibrant coral peonies for a pop of gorgeous color!
Vintage Garden Party Wedding with a Bright Twist
This couple managed to perfectly marry experience and aesthetics when it came to their wedding day. Selin stressed that their caterer was a big part of their planning process, as Fenwick Catering & Events was able to take care of everything from the food to the cake to the rentals! She enjoyed being able to hand over the details to their team and enjoy the blissful spring day, knowing her guests were in good hands. Photography was also a must – the fine art film style of bonphotage beautifully captured their vintage style for timeless portraits! Dahlia Florals was another of her favorite finds, creating their signature pops of color with spring blooms in a mix of fuchsia, coral, and blush. They also accented the white and gold buttercream cake with cascading peony buds, ranunculus blossoms, and sweet peas to create an elegant and unforgettable confection.
The 1930’s architecture and heritage of the Princeton Academy appealed to the historically-inclined couple – not to mention, making for a gorgeous venue! The elegant manor was draped in festive wisteria and the grounds were bursting with spring green to provide a lush backdrop to their outdoor ceremony and romantic portraits! The setting inspired Selin’s choice of an ethereal Catherine Deane wedding dress with a floating overskirt topping a fitted gown of beaded lace. Londyn Artistry complemented the vintage bridal look with a glamorous curled hairstyle accented with a crystal headpiece!
