Upstate Country Farmhouse Wedding in the Fall

Take a trip upstate with today’s country farmhouse wedding inspiration! There’s just something about the idea of heading upstate in the fall, hanging out the window to catch the best view of the brilliant foliage and wood smoke on the air, stopping at charming country barns for local cider and home made pie. Doesn’t seem to matter what state you live in but that conjures up the idyllic image of autumn, and that’s what I wanted to capture with today’s inspiration. Think horses and equestrian styling, cozy tweed blazers, and barn wood lit by bistro lighting and flickering candles.

I had in mind an elegant barn reception with soaring rafters hung with vintage chandeliers, hanging over farm tables set with brass candlesticks and lush fall centerpieces full of fresh flowers, apples, and pomegranates. The warm gleam of wood and the cider hues of autumn inspired a warm, welcoming palette. Greet guests with spiced cider and mulled wine, along with cloud soft wraps against the crisp air before exchanging vows under a vivid maple tree or inside a draped barn. Keep decor elegant but simple with place settings in brass, crystal, and china gleaming on seasonal fruit and arrangements of green and ivory. A rustic dessert display loaded with local pies, chocolate cake, and cinnamon frosted treats will make for the perfect end to the evening!
