The hunt for timeless modern wedding inspiration stops right here with Ashley and Shawn’s stunning Tennessee wedding day! Their intimate celebration at Arrington Vineyards gave them the perfect chance to invite family from the Midwest to share in the new life they were creating together in the south, from inviting guests to one of their favorite wineries, allowing them to showcase their love of (healthy) food, and supporting small businesses in every aspect of their day! They listed Lindsay Campbell Photography as a must have to help them capture their love story!
Timeless Modern Wedding with Rustic Chic Style
When it came to envisioning their big day, Ashley and Shawn wanted a celebration that would stand the test of time – classic, but not stuffy. The natural beauty of Arrington Vineyards helped inspire the organic touches throughout their wedding day in a way that managed to capture their love of nature and the outdoors. The lush Southern summer vineyard gave them a lush green backdrop, and Ashley picked a seamless blend of timeless and fresh details to adorn it.
Their invitations introduced the organic theme, with an adorable hand painted wreath motif that managed to be both simple and elegant. All-white details added a chic twist to the rustic theme, from Ashley’s crisp satin Matthew Christopher fit to flare wedding dress, to the vintage door backdrop for their wedding ceremony. Owsley Designs created organic floral bouquets in a romantic contrast to the bride’s architectural wedding dress – she carried a hand tied bouquet of peonies, astilbe, garden roses, and lisianthus among dusty miller, ferns, and silver dollar eucalyptus. The bridesmaids wore mint green wrap dresses from Two Birds Bridesmaids in a nod to Ashley’s favorite color as well as the beautiful surroundings. Even Shawn got to have his day in a tailored bespoke three piece suit! The charcoal gray suit and cognac leather shoes managed to feel relaxed enough for the rustic setting while looking picture perfect next to his stylish wife.
Many of the wedding details represented core values held tightly by the bride and groom, including the candle favors from a small business in the groom’s hometown, crafted decor made by their sister-in-law, and a low key day that managed to feel perfectly ‘them’. The wedding dinner was a top priority for the foodie couple, with a Whole 30 menu served family style at their tented reception. The palette shifted from fresh green and white into warmer tones for their wedding reception, with neutral lines and kraft paper escort cards, to vintage gold vessels holding centerpiece of blush and burgundy. Floral hoops added a fun, modern addition to their chic and timeless wedding day!
