There has been no shortage of amazing desert wedding inspiration lately, but the pastel bohemian aesthetic in this Joshua Tree micro-wedding takes it to the next level! Danyelle Dee Photography was the perfect choice to shoot her friend’s intimate AirBNB wedding in Southern California, capturing the peach and lavender tones that echoed the desert sunset. Intense winds made for a wild wedding but turned the photos into something truly incredible!

The loveliest details went into their invitation suite, with cactus illustrations that tied into the desert setting in Joshua Tree! It also gave Danyelle Dee Photography a chance to show off the unique bridal accessories, from her salt and pepper black diamond engagement ring to the gorgeous art deco starburst headpiece from Honey & Ember!
Carly embraced the pastel bohemian aesthetic that captured the desert sunlight and beautiful twilight shades of the evening. Her bouquet by I Dew Flowers combined shades of peach, lavender, blush, mauve, and mint green. Fresh spring flowers like roses and sweet peas mingled with dried desert grasses including ruscus, preserved palm fronds, and bleached ferns. The result was an eclectic bouquet that blended romance with arid desert details!
Carly absolutely slayed the bohemian bridal game, in a simple fitted crepe wedding dress from Lovely Bride SF that she paired with tasseled earrings and a coin trimmed veil from Rue de Seine Bridal. Her vintage starburst headpiece complemented the dazzling gold details on her embroidered veil.
How stunning are these colors for a desert bridesmaid dresses! Velvet and chiffon dresses in amber, lavender, vintage gold, amethyst, and sage green. The colors celebrated the desert landscape in the most beautiful way! Instead of bouquets, the bridesmaids carried flower and dried grass hoops, tied with ribbons that fluttered in the wind.
The groom and groomsmen got in on the unique color palette, with a textured damask black suit for Curtis, and bronze suits for his groomsmen!
The couple were so overwhelmed when their held their First Look that they decided to have an impromptu vow exchange on the spot! Luckily their vow notebooks were close at hand, and they were able to have an intimate moment before the ceremony.
Their triangle ceremony arch from Tragarz & Sons added a simple and beautiful frame to the desert setting! The white wood triable was accented with baskets of lilac sweet peas, cappuccino roses, and dried palm fronds to tie in with their pastel bohemian aesthetic!
The couple planned an intimate micro-wedding reception at their AirBNB venue in Joshua Tree! They set long rustic farm tables with silk runners and flower centerpieces of peach and lavender, accented with cloud-like dried grasses that echoed the desert landscape.
Their cake was the perfect blend of a pastel bohemian aesthetic and desert style! A colorful flower cake topper and preserved palm fronds added gorgeous texture to the simple one-tier wedding cake. Guests were also treated to a churro bar and (temporary) tattoo booth to add fun details to the reception!
Another opportunity to swoon over the bride’s hair chain with vintage starburst details! The couple held an amazing golden hour photo shoot with Danyelle Dee Photography, creating the most romantic photos in the dramatic setting sun.
