When you set out to plan the ultimate Texas glam ranch wedding, chic Southern style and a pair of getaway horses are a must! Haylie and Bryan envisioned a wedding that suited their rustic venue but with a contemporary and romantic style, incorporating a fig and floral palette and chic pops of glittering gold! Anne Brookshire Photography captured their stunning wedding day on film!
Texas Glam Jewel Tone Ranch Wedding
Bride-to-be Haylie planned much of her own wedding day on her own, from styling her gorgeous bridal party to sourcing the vintage gold candlesticks used to light their Texas glam barn reception. She envisioned a fun and relaxed wedding that celebrated the high school sweethearts, but added in their own chic style. Her nude lace Alvina Valenta sheath wedding dress perfectly balanced the line between rustic and classic, with a long cathedral veil to add extra drama. Her bridesmaids stunned in high necked halter gowns in shades of lavender, marsala, and mauve, with a unifying silhouette and greenery bouquets to tie the mismatched bridal party together. Sweetwater Stems created the bride’s romantic clutch of jewel toned flowers, along with the elegant autumn ceremony arbor. Her dashing groom wore a classic bow tie, while his groomsmen went for the open collar look with their stylish black suits to play up the relaxed feel of their wedding day.
The reception styling was just as important to Haylie as the bridal party – her vision started with a black and white checkerboard dance floor and gold sequin linens. The sparkling tablecloths helped the long Head Table stand out against the guest rounds clustered around the barn, with dark wooden chairs to complement the ranch feel. Her collection of antique candleholders played double duty as centerpieces and lighting, adding an elegant feel to the gold chargers and fresh greenery adorning the tables. Beer koozie favors, a Texan BBQ menu, and a hunting dog inspired groom’s cake all played up the rustic ranch feel, while their modern gold signage and fig topped naked cake added a hint of modern sophistication. Personal touches made their romantic wedding day so much more than a set of pretty pictures, with the musician groom serenading his new wife and their guests before the couple took to the dance floor down an aisle of their family and friends waving pom poms. After an amazing dance party, the couple rode off into the sunset on their ‘getaway horses’!
