Today’s gorgeous Yosemite wedding from Lisa Mallory Photography could not be more sweet – although Mother Nature herself decided to bring the drama! Erin and Robert both grew up vacationing at Yosemite National Park, so what destination spot could be more perfect for their wedding? I absolutely love couples like this – not only did they choose a location with a lot of emotional significance to both of them, but they used their beautiful location as the inspiration for their decor! Every detail is in perfect keeping with their rustic mountain wedding, and the result could not be more beautiful or more heartfelt!
On a day overcast by heavy gray clouds, Erin and Robert were married in the charming Yosemite Chapel, shortly before the skies opened and the storm broke. While guests sheltered from the angry sky in the reception at Yosemite Lodge, the intrepid bride and groom and their photographer braved the brief break in the driving rain for portraits at the foot of the mountains. Lisa Mallory made the absolute best of the wild, gray light on their big day to capture stunning portraits against their incredible natural backdrop. All was warm and cozy once they rejoined the party in the lodge, with tealights glowing among evergreen boughs and drifts of moss on crisp white tables. Ruffled white chrysanthemums adorned their rustic wooden decor and elegant white wedding cake, the same as in Erin’s sweet bridal bouquet!

I adore that romantic little chapel! Yosemite is where I initially wanted to get married, but it didn’t work out, sadly. I ended up getting married in Paso Robles, which is beautiful but not exactly Yosemite!
I LOVE Paso Robles! Still such a romantic place to get married! Maybe a vow renewal in Yosemite is in order…
Yosemite is truly a magical place, and the pure scale of the rocks and mountains are humbling. I totally agree with Stephanie, you can’t go wring with Yosemite!
What a pretty wedding. How can you go wrong in Yosemite?
I adore Yosemite weddings! These views and images are spectacular!
