I’m so excited to bring you into the weekend with an incredibly special wedding – Beth and Aaron’s sweet music themed wedding was my first wedding as an independent coordinator! It is such a pleasure to be able to share their beautiful day and my part in it with all of you. I couldn’t have had a sweeter couple to work with! From the very first time Beth and I met – over champagne and hors d’oeurves with our mutual friend – it was easy to see that she and Aaron knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding. They sat down together early in the planning and figured out each of their top priorities for the wedding so they could decide where to focus their energy. A music themed wedding was a natural fit for a couple who met at a performance of the groom’s band! Their love of music and Beth’s love of dance (she’s a professional dance teacher!) set the scene for a beautiful but relaxed day with plenty of amazing songs and designs based on their favorite albums.
Festivities kicked off in the beautiful garden courtyard of the Los Altos History Museum – a hidden gem in beautiful downtown Los Altos. Guests could explore the gardens before the ceremony began under the museum’s archway, which was hung with Beth’s tissue poms and decorated with a gorgeous mix of flowers in deep blue, peach, and cream, with hints of apple green, all by their incredible florist, Lani Elizabeth! Their talented floral designer also put together Beth’s gorgeous bridal bouquet – which had me swooning with the mix of peach and white garden roses, dahlias, and trailing ribbons secured with a vintage brooch belonging to Beth’s grandmother. Even the boutonnieres for Aaron and his groomsmen had an extra special touch – a guitar pick!
Having a theme that they both loved made planning fun for the two of them – Beth shared that one of her favorite memories of planning their wedding was choosing which albums to feature as their tables, and which guests to pair with them. We worked together on a seating chart to tie in all of the album covers, and designed favors inspired by concert buttons that carried their musical theme! Guests signed their best wishes on vintage records, and the bridal party walked down the aisle to live music played by some of Aaron’s bandmates.
It was an honor being a part of such a special day for this incredible and loving couple, and I want to wish them every happiness, along with all of the amazing vendors who contributed to their wedding:
