Navy blue and coral are timeless staples of nautical style, but this colorful nautical wedding shoot adds in the colors of the sunset from an evening cruise! New Jersey event pros Ashley Mac Photographs and Bogath Weddings and Events were inspired by the stunning coastal setting of Mallard Island Yacht Club on Long Beach Island and dreamed up this charming waterside wedding with a driftwood ceremony arch, colorful rustic flowers, and sunset cruise on board a classic New England Cuttyhunk Bass Boat!
Crisp by Britt embraced the classic nautical palette with a navy blue and coral invitation suite, adding white ink lettering and compass rose motifs to accent the timeless color scheme. The classic palette was echoed throughout the wedding day details, alongside a sunset-inspired rainbow of peach, purple, and yellow.
A white suit jacket with a black shawl collar from The Black Tux made for a luxurious choice for the groom’s attire – perfectly fitting a luxury yacht club wedding!
The bride’s attire was similarly elegant, thanks to a tiered tulle and lace wedding dress from Free Love Bridal in Cape May! Lavish Salon LBI styled the romantic yet fun gown with an elegant bridal updo, creating a low chignon that looked picture perfect even in the sea breeze!
The waterfront mansion at Mallard Island Yacht Club on Barnegat Bay created a stunning venue for romantic wedding photos! The couple enjoyed an intimate First Look photo session before making their way down to the water.
A Driftwood Ceremony Arch for a Colorful Nautical Wedding
What could be more perfect for a coastal wedding ceremony than a driftwood arch? The beach ceremony overlooked the stunning views of Barnegat Bay, with a custom made driftwood arch serving as the focal point! Eastlin Floral Designs dressed the foraged driftwood pieces with colorful flower arrangements in peach and pink to add romance to the windswept wood details
The evening ceremony was perfectly timed to make capture the gorgeous light that inspired the sunset hues in this shoot!
The outdoor reception was styled by Rustic Drift to tie in with the organic and rustic style of the ceremony and complement the elegance of the venue all at once. White-washed farm tables were set with colorful goblets and gold rimmed champagne glasses to evoke a fun and glamorous feeling. The colors deepened to include mauve and amethyst, adding richer colors that suited the light deepening in the evening sky.
Sweet Melissa Goodness Cafe created the perfect nautical wedding cake! Navy blue and white striped accented the white buttercream tiers, with a braided rope detail and a touch of gold leaf to play off the fresh flowee cake topper. Other desserts on the elegant outdoor display included triple chocolate cake, rose macarons and cookie and milk shooters – the strawberry milk kept the color palette consistent and added a lovely flavor!
A sunset harbor cruise offered the perfect chance for the bride and groom to enjoy a little quality time together! The bride changed into a fitted mermaid dress for the evening, before embarking on a spin around the bay in a classic New England Cuttyhunk Bass Boat! The LBI luxury yacht, Relentless, was a picture perfect getaway vehicle thanks to handmade teak rails, cabinets and accents!
