August is almost over, and autumn is nearly here, and with it comes the fabulous spice-colored inspiration of fall. Before I get caught up in the hues of changing leaves or the endless pumpkin desserts, I wanted to celebrate with one last glimpse of summer. Pairing the lovely Wedgwood blue of Napa Valley Linens’Pippa, its delicate geometric print seen on the cake table below, I added the warm, summery complement of butter yellow. I’ve raved about tree peonies before this summer, and they were the perfect floral pairing with the silvered blue. That sweet southern style inspired the rest of this design concept – romantic, summery, and southern were the words that came to mind.
