These lovely film portraits capture the heart ties of the bride and groom on their wedding day. Rather than keep the future husband and wife separate on the morning before their ceremony, they planned a “breakfast in bed” boudoir shoot that set the tone for the intimacy of the styled elopement at the 1800’s Italianate Estate in Virginia. The romantic getaway was complete with a dreamy portrait session in bed while the couple enjoyed fresh croissants and cappuccinos while cuddled in their luxurious four poster bed.

After a dreamy morning together, the couple took in the glorious summer sunshine bathing the Virginia Hills with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance. The bright light turned the bride’s vibrant bouquet into delicate stained glass blossoms with its colorful mix of peonies, garden roses, tulips, forsythia, snapdragons, and fragrant jasmine. The beautiful blooms by Cotton Social looked as though they could have been picked from the estate’s garden that same morning! The riot of color was a beautiful contrast to her latte lace wedding dress, with three quarter sleeves and a low back to create a striking silhouette. The groom looked the part of a Southern gentleman in his black suit, with a French blue tie and sunny yellow boutonniere to add a pop of color!
