Today’s gorgeous shoot uses succulents, sequins, and stripes to create an ideal modern SoCal wedding! The incredible Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach inspired a shoot that utilizes colors, textures, and geometric shapes to make up a gorgeous whole that equals stunning wedding inspiration! From a succulent wall backdrop to a sequin wedding dress, bold black and white stripes, to metallic geometric details, this shoot is filled with stylish modern inspiration! John Schnack Photography and White Lace Events & Design put together this incredible shoot celebrating bold styling and laid-back California glam!
As a born and raised California girl myself, I can’t help but adore the mix of glam and organic styling that brought this shoot to life. The Mid-Century Modern styling of the hotel took on a completely on-trend look when it met geometric details, gemstones, and one gorgeous bridal look! A sleek white sequin sheath dress added glamorous color and sparkle to the earthy urban styling of the hotel, especially the living succulent wall that forms this shoot’s backdrop.
The wedding day started with a relaxed getting ready session in the bride’s room. Champagne and aqua tones in the guest rooms set the scene for the chic Southern California vibe of the setting, before opening onto the pure drama of the courtyard below. Geometric gold tables made up a wedding dessert bar of truly epic proportions, with a trio of cakes showcasing the most up to the minute wedding trends, from hand-painted tiers to delicate marbling to brushed gold. A bar cart with a floral-adorned bourbon cask made this whiskey loving girl very happy!
