If you need a little inspiration for your fall wedding or your holiday table design, today’s styling post has you covered! I wanted to create a table design pairing modern metallics with a classic fall palette, starting with chic, gold details. The inspiration came when I stumbled across a couple of items while hunting for my pumpkin spice face mask, and the whole design just clicked into place! The simple gold and white striped plates and pierced metallic lanterns were the starting point for this design – the gold palette and modern lines set the scene for the rest of the decor. To offset two main elements with bold detailing, I kept the rest of the tabletop relatively simple and crisp with a fresh white cloth with just a hint of texture. Clean china plates accented the striped bread and butter plates, with modern flatware in a similar dull gold. The gold scrollwork on the stemless water glass and wine goblet echoed the other gold accents without overpowering the overall design.
To offset the minimalist table decor, I wanted to keep the florals classic. Traditional fall florals in rich yellow, orange and deep sunset hued coral paired with pepper and hypericum berries for a modern autumn twist. I found amazing dahlias, roses, and ranunculus at a local floral wholesaler that beautifully picked up those colors, accented with berries and rusty red chrysanthemums for a classic fall touch. Flat, glossy magnolia leaves were the perfect addition to a modern floral arrangement, tying the florals in with the clean lines of the table decor. The last accent was a crisp black and white floral print escort card – a sweet botanical touch that tied in with the overall fresh and streamlined look of the table!

This is lovely! Where did you get the plates with the gold lines?
I found them at Marshall’s – I think the pattern is currently discontinued but I’m sure there are similar ones in stores for the holidays!
This is stunning. Really and truly!
