Styling a Glitter and Glam Engagement Party with Cricut

I had the best time putting together this modern gold glitter glam engagement party inspiration! I partnered with Cricut to share ideas for couples planning a personal and unique wedding or engagement, and I had to put my own spin on it with rich pink and lots of sparkle! I already have a passion for graphic design and typography, and the Cricut Explore Air made it so easy to take those flat designs and turn them into gorgeous reality!

When it came to creating inspiration for a glam engagement party, I knew that I wanted to design around the idea of a celebration. For me, that meant lots of glitter, bold colors, and sweet, personal signs. The ideology behind Cricut is ‘It’s Your Story, Make it Personal’, which was ideal for putting my own spin on the idea of a celebration.

I started with a fun and whimsical invitation suite to set the tone! The whimsical brush script November Starlight was the perfect mix of modern romance, paired with a clean serif font to get the pertinent details across. To create the dramatic glitter backed invitation suite, I created my lettering in InDesign and uploaded it to the Cricut Design Space as a .png file. It allowed me to completely customize my wording and design before cutting the intricate lettering from white vinyl. My lettering popped gorgeously against the glitter cardstock and made a stunning invitation suite!

I used matte gold vinyl to add a personal touch to my other tabletop details – from personalized escort cards to adorable champagne glasses! Clear glass and acrylic accents kept the tone modern and popped against my vibrant flowers, and using such clean backdrops allowed me to play with fun script lettering. I created an adorable sign to pair with my cake, as well as a personalized bar sign to display specialty cocktails! The final touch had to be a gold glitter cake topper to add the perfect amount of glam to a sweet and simple nearly naked cake!
