If you embrace the onset of fall with joy, a sprinkling of pumpkin spice, and a really cute scarf, you will love the dreamy colors in this wedding shoot blending Southwestern garden colors with Texas Hill country style! Shot by Lucy Struve and designed to perfection by Storybook Weddings, this contemporary Texas wedding inspiration drew design elements from the creative venue The Greenhouse At Driftwood. Channel Magnolia Market with this Texas meets Southwestern Garden Wedding
Although these colors are absolutely stunning as we head into fall, they can add a hint of Southwestern garden style for any time of year! The stacked stone exterior of the Greenhouse At Driftwood venue were a neutral backdrop for the soft riot of color that drew inspiration from the desert greenhouse and surrounding cactus gardens to bring the colors of the Southwest to Texas Hill country. You’ll see the tones of taupe, yellow, mauve, and maroon echoed in the invitations designed by Grey Meets Gold Print Shop – laid out on a fun floral print wallpaper backdrop! – and the gorgeous flowers by Remi and Gold.
The weathered stone steps leading up to the two-story greenhouse were the perfect place to set the stage for the ceremony – and for a heartfelt First Look! You know I love dramatic staircase decor, and these beautifully dressed stairs were no exception! Warm shades of harvest gold, maroon, yellow, and soft peach made up the soft clouds of flowers that decorated the ceremony backdrop.
How stylish is this couple! The bride’s minimalist off the shoulder wedding dress from Lovely Bride Houston was the perfect choice for a fall bride to stay cozy yet chic in the crisp air. The relatively simple cut of the dress was a beautiful counterpoint to the Southwestern garden-style flowers, and how perfectly does the silk ribbon match the groom’s suit jacket!
This striking menswear look styled by G ALXNDR is a colorful yet timeless choice for a fashion-forward groom. The classic cut of the bow tie, slacks, and crisp white button down are a traditional counterpoint to the eye-catching colorful suit jacket!
The cactus garden surrounding the tropical and desert biomes of the greenhouse brought a Southwestern flair to Hill Country! The reception table on the lawn drew inspiration from the space and from trending interior decorating styles to pair blonde wood details and Mid-Century chairs.
Texas event rental companies Loot Rentals and Table Manners channeled a modern Magnolia market for these table settings with rose gold flatware, woven rattan chargers, and organic cotton textured napkins to create a layered neutral design. The gorgeous centerpieces channeled Southwestern garden colors with roses in peach, yellow, and cappuccino, maroon hellebores, mauve sweetpeas, and ruffled ranunculus.
The specialty cocktails were a crowning touch to the reception décor, served in retro coupe glasses and garnished with edible petals or a custom cocktail stencil to add a touch of the signature colors to the drink!
This might be the sweetest little cake table ever! The vintage accent table felt like an organic fit for the cactus garden , while the mini cake by Sweetniz Cake Shop captured the Southwestern garden colors with abstract brushstrokes and a fresh flower topper on the petite white cake.
Time for a dress change! This architectural wedding dress with a one shoulder silhouette was a stunning choice for cake cutting and dancing among the cacti!
