Rustic Elegance Ranch Wedding Shoot in Dusty Blue

Start your week off right with this dreamy shoot that is the epitome of rustic elegance! Connie Whitlock Photography and A Vintage Affair teamed up to create wedding inspiration that captured both the charm and majesty of the Colorado mountains.

The serenity of the C Lazy U Ranch in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains provided the ideal backdrop to this rustic, elegant shoot. A palette of organic green and creamy ivory paired with dusty blue perfectly suited the rugged beauty of the surroundings. To suit the surroundings, A & Bé Bridal Shop offered a romantic Sarah Seven wedding dress with three quarter lace sleeves and a flowing skirt, while the bride’s braided crown hairstyle and dramatic makeup complemented the blend of outdoorsy details and sophisticated styling. A sharp three piece suit in navy blue kept the groom looking stylish even while playing with the horses. The bride and groom made their way through the stunning scenery of the ranch to a ceremony venue overlooking the lake and mountains beyond. A simple floral wreath was all the ceremony backdrop needed with the natural beauty of the surroundings taking center stage.

The ranch’s high ceilinged barn played host to an unforgettable reception, set under rustic antler chandeliers. Crisply textured linens in pale blue added a hint of color to wooden chairs and arrangements of fresh greenery. Slim taper candles and earthen china added a sophisticated touch to the romantic mountain decor.

The talented team transformed the working barn’s tack room into a creative bar, with stacked crates displaying vintage champagne glasses for the perfect post-ceremony welcome. A specialty cocktail station proffered the perfect mountain beverage – made with moonshine, lemonade, and fresh, local peaches. To cap off the evening, an intricate wedding cake from Megan Joy Cakes captured the rustic elegance of the mountains, with delicate feather garlands and sugar lace accents.
