In the language of flowers, red roses are symbolic for unconditional love – making them perfect for wedding flowers! Jubilee Flower Co wanted to create something unique celebrating a traditional wedding flower and this red and rosé rustic garden wedding shoot was the perfect way to do it! Katelyn Mallett Photography‘s moody shots turned the deep red roses and pink hues into glowing jewel tones against the fall fields at The Greenhouse at Highland Farm!
Black Tulip Calligraphy turned the red and rosé color scheme into a beautifully palette for the invitation suite, pairing the central colors with kraft paper details to add a neutral element that picked up the warm blush tones in a natural gradient. The hand lettered stationery and botanical illustrations added to the rustic simplicity of the field wedding and beautiful flowers to come!
The bride’s gown was specifically chosen with the venue in mind – finding the perfect rustic wedding dress was a snap for Opal and June, who found this beautiful A-line dress with a touch of blush and champagne color to the tulle and lace appliques. The full skirt looked beautiful against the fall grasses of the meadow, creating a stunning focal point for the bride’s portraits. Lace over the cap sleeves and illusion neckline gave it just the right rustic touch to feel like the perfect fit for the venue!
The minimal reception decor is perfect for an intimate country wedding or a rustic elopement! A farm table for two was set up in the middle of the field, with a beautiful silk blush table runner and vintage gold candlesticks from One Stop Party Rentals.
The stylist kept the table decor light and airy, with blush silk linens, ceramic plates, and pink taper candles – the effect was a beautiful splash of light against the autumn leaves and grasses of Maine in the fall. Pops of rich red from the centerpiece brought in the signature color. The Greenhouse at Highland Farm accented the flower arrangements with garnet red flowers in roses, dahlias, and ranunculus, with sweet spray roses and carnations to add a deep pink accent.
The bride’s look kept everything neutral, from her champagne tulle dress to her tan wedding shoes! Hair stylist and makeup artist By Lauren Kinton added a romantic touch with the bride’s elegant updo hairstyle, giving her a low chignon with waving strands to frame her face. She kept the bride’s makeup soft and romantic, using blush and gold tones to ensure the bold colors were kept for the bouquet.
Hanami Cake Design created a one of a kind cake design with poetry details! Textured champagne buttercream and hand drawn vines in edible gold accented three offset tiers with a metallic deckled edge. The center tier included a wonderful love quote – ‘when I look back to the day we met, I see the beginning of my favorite love story’.
As an extra treat, the baker made rosebud macarons with a champagne almond cookie and hand piped flowers in the center, with swipe of shimmering gold dust!
The color choice for this red and rosé could not have been more perfect for the autumn colors, with Maine’s fall leaves in full display in the moody bridal photos! The stunning jewel tone flowers added romantic color to the wilderness of the field and forest.
