When it rains on your wedding day – amp up the cozy factor! Megan Wallach Photography and AM Coordination captured the romance of a rainy day spring wedding at this lovely watercolor inspired editorial shoot at Vezalay in the North Georgia Mountains. The gray sky couldn’t dampen this inspiration for a sweet and intimate mountain wedding, with a candlelight ceremony in front of a fireplace covered in spring flowers, a gorgeous palette of slate blue and peach perfect for the Southern setting, and a dessert display of the most artistic wedding cakes!
This beautiful invitation design by Noteworthy Expressions combined a slate blue and peach palette with a mountain motif that echoed the venue nestled in the North Georgia mountains!
Flaura Botanica created this whimsical watercolor inspired bouquet with an ombre palette of coral, peach, blush, and ivory! Lush dahlias, ruffled ranunculus, and fluttering sweetpeas gave it the perfect touch of spring romance.
Erin Ryser styled the bride’s elegant updo – the romantic hairstyle complemented her long sleeve lace top and cloud gray tulle skirt from Bliss Tulle!
The stunning ceremony inside the event space at Vezalay created a cozy atmosphere while the rain beat down outside. The stone fireplace was lined with candles, from elegant tapers in vintage gold candlesticks to votives in mercury glass holders. Flaura Botanica turned it into a spring bower with blue delphinium and peach roses to add to the romance of the spring wedding ceremony!
The table decor combined spring garden flowers with silk accents to create an elegant and inviting reception. Shades of blue decorated the long tables, from the silk runner to the raw linen napkins. Gold flatware and earthenware plates added to the understated elegance of the tablescape.
The dessert table was transformed into a work of art, thanks to Cake Envy‘s watercolor inspired cake display! A color palette of blue, white, and peach kept the dessert table looking unified even while each cake had its own unique look and artistic motif.
Fresh flowers added lovely texture and color to sculpted buttercream cakes, looking elegant in their simplicity.
Frosting daubs edged in gold gave this lovely little cake a painterly look, creating clusters of petals that would look equally at home on a canvas in a museum!
Even a trendy drizzle cake was given an artistic upgrade, with marbled frosting under the white drips and a peach flower cake topper!
Fresh flower cocktails were mixed up at this vintage bar cart, offering preserved petals or candied citrus to garnish festive beverages in style.
The rain made for romantic wedding photos, capturing kisses and sweet moments under a translucent umbrella! The bride’s cloud gray skirt looked picture perfect for a rainy day spring wedding, adding to the dreamy watercolor vibe of the whole day!
