Preppy Southern Charm in Blue, Blush, and Gold

Seersucker, bourbon, and sweet tea – it’s so much fun to see how Lisa Mallory Photography and Lindsey Marie Events translated the classic styles of the South to California! The graceful setting of Lekai Ranch in Paso Robles, CA, allowed them to combine the best of country chic with the laid back style of Southern California!

The rolling hills and gilded sunlight of the beautiful Paso Robles wine country created a beautiful doppelgänger for the gracious Southern beauty that they sought to recreate. The green of a California spring softened the hills and vineyards surrounding the elegant ranch estate, allowing for a stunning view from the ceremony site. A sweet and simple archway, hung with billowing drapery and fresh garlands served as a gateway to the gorgeous countryside. Natural wood chairs and pews created an outdoor cathedral paying homage to the hills spreading towards the sea.

That quintessential Southern charm was carried throughout the details of the shoot, from chic blue and white stripes accenting the bouquet and the tabletop, to a bourbon bar and sweet tea favors! The dessert display reveled in Southern favorites, from petite pecan tarts and chocolate chip cookies to a coconut layer cake adorned with blush roses. A family style Head Table set on the wraparound porch boasted seersucker linens and delicate blush and ivory flowers in vintage gold vessels. Calligraphy escort cards and a glittering gold napkin ring added to the glamour of each place setting!

The bride epitomized the beauty of country chic, with a flowing tulle ball gown accented with a crystal statement necklace and sparkling earrings, along with a softly curled updo. The groom echoed the blue on white stripe motif, adding a pair of suspenders and a striped bow tie, like a true gentleman! The charming couple basked in the liquid gold sunlight, taking in the stunning vistas surrounding the ranch at magic hour.
