Only one more week until Lost Lake! Now that I’ve had a chance to dive into my copy, I am dying to share this amazing story with all of you – but I need to focus, because today’s inspiration comes from Sarah Addison Allen’s sweet third book, The Peach Keeper.
This time the Southern charm comes from the elite town of Walls of Water, so-named from the dense and luminous mists rolling in from the nearby waterfalls in the national forest. Most of the characters are or were old money, so I wanted to take a more elegant, high-society approach with this design (always in good taste, of course). That meant a classic design with a Southern peach palette! To add a sophisticated twist, I paired the soft hue with rich burgundy and misty gray. Soft, ethereal details perfectly captures the genteel society that’s the backbone of the novel, while vivid berry hues add the unexpected punch that sets the story in motion.
