You can’t go wrong with an old world romance wedding, as Laura and Kent discovered when planning their beautiful Miami Springs wedding day! They were inspired by the stunning venue at a historic mansion surrounded by stunning gardens! The choice was simple, thanks to their planner Soco Alicea and their florist Rodri Studio who transformed the grounds with stunning garden flowers in wine red, blush, and touches of gray! Their beautiful wedding photos by Erica Melissa captured every moment, from the romantic to the unexpected!

The couple met in Philadelphia – a blind date set them up by chance, and their first date ended in a long evening in a beer garden, talking under lights strung thoughout the trees. They wanted to recreate that magic for their wedding day, after their destination wedding planner Soco Alicea helped them find the perfect venue for old world romance at the Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs!
The couple infused their wedding day attire with the old world elegance that they had envisioned for their wedding day! Laura chose a beautiful crepe and lace mermaid wedding dress with a stunning train, accenting the timeless gown with a vintage-inspired hairstyle and an elegant chignon accented by sparkling hair combs.
Kent chose a charcoal gray suit that he styled with their wedding colors, rocking a wine red tie and pocket square along with a colorful burgundy boutonniere!
The couple treasured their First Look moment and the portraits they captured before the ceremony, giving them a chance to put the crazy day on pause and breathe in the magic of their wedding day together.
Rodri Studio created true magic with their ceremony flowers, using the Spanish-inspired architecture and stunning garden landscaping as the backdrop for this incredible flower arch! They lined the stone steps leading to their ceremony altar with towering flower arrangements of wine and blush flowers, tropical greenery, and pampas grass to create a beautiful ceremony backdrop for their vows.
Laura’s stunning lace cathedral veil made for one of the most memorable moments of the day! Erica Melissa captured this epic veil shot as Laura started to walk down the aisle – but after that first moment, the veil didn’t want to cooperate! Rather than letting it break her stride, the bride reached back and scooped it over her arm, bundling the lace and tulle around her like a cape. Not only did it speak to her absolute joy in the wedding day, but proved that even little things can’t ruin your wonderful day and only become memories to look back and laugh over.
Their faces say it all! These sweet moments throughout the ceremony truly captured the love and joy the couple felt on their wedding day!
A nod to the bride’s truly epic bouquet! Rodri Studio blending wine red, pink, and blush flowers to create this beauty!
These are the memories you treasure! The couple stole a little portrait time to spend together under their magical flower arch after they became husband and wine!
Their love of old world romance made the historic Spanish architecture of the Curtiss Mansion the perfect location for their wedding ceremony! Tables set under string lights in the courtyard created a welcoming atmosphere for their guests that had traveled South for the wedding.
They made sure the wedding reception was filled with colorful flowers and candlelight to create the perfect romantic setting. Pale gray tablecloths were a beautiful contrast with the wine and blush flowers and gold flatware that created their elegant garden table decor.
Food and drink were the couple’s priority for a good time! They worked with caterer Ralphs Catering on their wedding menu, with delicious options for all of their guests. A mobile coffee cart, Coffee Hub Cafe, made sure everyone had the energy to dance into the night!
They surprised guests with a performance by Puerto Rican Pleneros, Plenatarium, who serenaded the wedding with drums, trumpets and whistles!
The couple chose an all-white dessert table, with the rum cake by Sweet Guilt by Angelica as the centerpiece! The white buttercream cake was adorned with fresh flowers in their wine and blush color scheme to create a romantic dessert!
