It’s easy to see where the inspiration behind today’s incredible architectural wedding editorial came from! Fine art photographer Katie Grant Photography was inspired by the incredible old world Spanish design of San Diego’s Balboa Park, and its stunning influence is evident in every shot!
Katie Grant wasn’t just behind the incredible photography I get to feature today, but she styled the shoot, designed the florals, even created calligraphy details! To capture the timeless architecture of the setting, she chose a structured and ornate Matthew Christopher gown in delicate champagne lace. She chose a vintage pearl engagement ring as the perfect romantic touch to complement the sweeping lace skirts. A headpiece of silver flower petals and strands of pearls emphasized the romantic and opulent surroundings.
To contrast with the richly detailed locale and styling, Katie visited the local Little Italy Farmer’s Market and chose simple but bold flowers. The bride’s bouquet, the centerpiece, and the fresh floral cake topper emphasized the delicate neutral palette with soft ivory flowers, while deep green leaves and hints of blush and berry tones added a pop of rich color.
