New Orleans Wedding Style in Dreamy Blues and Greens

The lush greenery and dreamy Southern sunlight of New Orleans’ Garden District inspired the wedding’s color palette of blue, gold, and greenery. The historic style of the Sully Mansion inspired much of the iconic look of Uptown New Orleans, and the dreamy Queen Anne-style venue added a romantic vintage element to the fresh wedding style. A metallic Jacquard wedding dress by Rebecca Schoneveld struck the perfect balance between old world charm and modern bridal style, especially paired with Leaf + Petal‘s blue and white bouquet. The groom’s classic black tie style evoked the elegance of the Garden District, while the couple added a traditional element of New Orleans wedding style, a second line, with fun bride and groom themed accessories!

The team painted the picture of an intimate destination wedding in an intimate garden reception under the inn’s historic oak trees. Dark wood tables and chairs played off the airy stripes of a traditional Southern seersucker, added as an accent in striped napkins! Watercolor print place settings, gold flatware and candleholders, and vintage champagne coupes rounded out the elegant summer tablescape. Melissa’s Fine Pastries created a watercolor inspired brushed wedding cake to blend the contemporary design elements with the historic wedding venue!
