With 70’s style trends, the desaturated colors of the Southern California desert, and modern bohemian trends mixing together to become the season’s hottest wedding look, creating a neutral wedding that would pop in photographs was the main goal for Los Angeles event planners and designers, To Be Loved Events and Jamison Events. The bright and airy celebration at a Westside LA event space was beautifully captured by Amy Huang Photography to showcase the stunning dried grass decor and layered neutral palette!
How to style a neutral wedding with stand-out style!
They layered in shades of beige, taupe, and cream for a classic neutral palette, alongside richly colored toffee roses, blush astilbe, and white blooms for the bride’s bouquet.
No white wedding dress here! This gorgeous dusty blush tulle ball gown by Delana Formals combined a layered skirt with shoulder tie details to accent the plunge neckline and deep open back! Hair stylist and makeup artist Emily Lynn & Company created a beautifully elaborate braided updo hairstyle, with long wavy curls down to frame the bride’s face and set off her soft blush makeup!
The dynamic event space at Westside LA venue Festoon LA provided a light and airy backdrop for the modern bohemian decor and neutral wedding style. White iron chairs lined the aisle to the ceremony site with a gauzy pipe and drape backdrop and geometric frames displaying preserved palm fronds and pampas grass arrangements!
This gorgeous couple knows how to do neutral wedding style right! In addition to the off-white wedding dress, the groom wore a cream jacket over an unexpected mauve vest and pants combination for a fashion-forward menswear look!
A fabulous champagne wall is always a great way to welcome guests to the reception! The wood plank shelf design displayed vintage champagne flutes and can easily double as a seating chart by adding table assignments to the flute’s stems!
The modern bohemian decor and retro 70’s prints were a fun addition to the modern boho style of the reception decor! To add to the neutral wedding style, Primrose & Petals created a hanging chandelier of pampas grass, palm fronds, roses, and dried ruscus. The long tables were decked out with pale blush tablecloths to add a warm touch to the bud vases and low arrangements that decorated the table, with laser cut wood table numbers from Delovely Details alongside the simple flower centerpieces.
The white-on-white wedding cake by Sweetness Cake Bakery was a stand out thanks to the rounded ruffled bottom tier, inspired by the modern boho trend for Moroccan poufs and lounge decor. A neon sign backdrop was the perfect finishing touch to this dynamic wedding cake display!
What 70’s wedding style would be complete without macrame! A gorgeous tasseled wall hanging added texture and charm to the cozy lounge for this quiet moment over specialty drinks by Cali Craft Cocktails!
