Photographer Becca Neblock and stylists juliet + lou create the playbook for unconventional couples who want to stay true to their personality while creating a timeless wedding day! The blooming fields at Woodinville Lavender Farm created a gorgeous place for the outdoor ceremony and reception, with a stunning boho lounge picnic to end off the night!
lavender field elopement with moody photo style
The goal of this lovely and moody lavender farm elopement inspiration was to blend the couple’s personal style – more modern and edgy – with the romance of the flower fields in bloom! Their effortlessly cool day-to-day style became the basis for a streamlined yet chic bridal look, incredibly sharp groom’s suit, and a little bit of bohemian influence in the picnic lounge and French country table decor.
Stationery designer Libby Tipton embraced the lavender farm destination for the invitation suite – she used handmade paper with dried lavender buds to create the beautiful paper goods, layering the textures with vellum accents and white wax seals. The subtle shifts in shades of white – with eggshell, toasted almond, and warm taupe – gave the neutral color scheme a beautifully layered effect that allowed the organic elements to stand out on film.
Edgy boho brides, this look is for you! The stunning minimalist silk slip dress by Lena Medoyeff is stunning all on its own, but add a floating chiffon bridal cape and the wedding dress becomes pure magic! The stunning combination from Edmonds, WA, boutique Idina Bride created the perfect contrast to the rows and rows of lavender bushes topped with blooming purple flowers. The boutique’s brand of high-fashion yet effortlessly cool designer collection could not have been a better fit for this unconventional yet timeless wedding inspiration!
Hair and makeup artist Yessie Libby embraced the bride’s signature style and gave her platinum lob a tousled look that complemented the simple wedding dress and textural white bridal bouquet by juliet + lou. Every detail, from the artfully styled hair to the hammered metal statement earrings, was chosen to pop against the backdrop of the flower farm.
Is there anywhere more romantic for a wedding ceremony than a field of flowers in bloom? The skies cooperated with the moody atmosphere of this stunning elopement, with a cloudy gray capper for the outdoor ceremony. The garden-style white ceremony flowers were chosen to bridge the whimsical outdoor style of the venue and the edgy minimalism of the bride and groom’s attire.
The ceremony arbor was adorned in a deconstructed wreath of white flowers and flowering branches, with rustic wood and linen chairs creating an aisle on the celebration lawn. White aisle centerpieces added to the garden effect, with tall stock, sweet peas, delphinium, and lupine adding organic texture.
Becca Neblock made the most of the moody skies with these stunning portraits of the effortlessly chic couple who look just as ready to walk down the runway as the aisle.
Layered shades of white and cream, along with a few earth toned elements, made up the French Country reception table decor. Crossback vineyard chairs and wicker rattan chargers added natural wood elements to the long table set with Portland’s Notary Ceramics candleholders, black and linen stoneware, and hemstitch linen napkins at each place setting. Matte black flatware added dimension to the creamy tones of the linens, table runner, and flowers, as well as an edgy modern design. Pottery bud vases and wooden votive holders accented the central arrangement of all-white flowers, with tall taper candles to add height down the long dining table.
The picnic lounge added a stunning element to an intimate micro-wedding reception! Fanciful Rentals created the perfect space to cozy up with a cocktail, with a tufted ivory rug, layered throw pillows, and a vintage bar cart to create a place for the bride and groom to unwind.
Honeycrumb Cake Studio embraced the romantic aspect of getting married at a flower farm, with a ruffled cake in the palest lavender, with a large sugar flower cake topper.
Happy Camper Cocktail Company created a signature drink inspired by the lavender farm, combining local Simple Goodness Sisters Blueberry Lavender Syrup, lime, vodka, club soda, Bow Hill Pickled Heirloom Blueberries, and a lavender garnish to create the ‘Field of Dream’s cocktail with a signature purple hue!
These portraits are pure moody magic – you can practically smell the fresh lavender and hear the happy bees!
What high-fashion elopement would be complete without a wardrobe change? The cropped denim jacket by Chosen by One Day Bridal was the perfect transition for our edgy chic couple to say farewell at the end of the day!
