Modern Ranch Wedding in Orange and Aqua

If there’s one photographer who can capture the quintessential California wedding, it would be Lisa Mallory! Kelly and Aaron’s modern ranch wedding is no exception, with stunning views of Santa Ynez wine country and a reception at a Spanish style estate. Apple Creek Ranch proved to be the perfect venue for their wedding, surrounded by the rolling hills and vineyards of Southern California. Their reception took place on the estate’s deck, with the vineyards and rolling hills stretching behind them as far as the eye could see. The gorgeous blue bowl of the Southern California sky stretched over their elegant ceremony and portraits in the dusty gold fields surrounding the estate.

Kelly is a graphic designer, and turned her natural talents to making her wedding day details unique and memorable. She created their invitations, the personalized crossword puzzles for their place mats, the logos for their glasses – all of the fantastic details that made their wedding personal. The Spanish style courtyard of the barn at Apple Creek Ranch was adorned with bistro lights and enormous marquee lights in the shape of their initials to add to the graphic, modern vibe of their decor. Vintage aqua bottles decked out each lace covered table, filled with yellow and orange flowers  and alongside custom made chevron table numbers in the shape of hearts. The couple had a pair of love birds at their Sweetheart Table, theme that carried to the cake topper on their simple two-tiered wedding cake. It sat alongside a decadent display of their favorite desserts to tempt guests from dancing in the courtyard.
