Today’s impossibly romantic Midsummer Nights Dream Wedding in a secret garden is what happens when wedding stylists wed! Bride Laura is the designer behind The Styling Branch, and she put her skills to excellent use when it came time to plan and style her beautiful garden wedding. Hilary Cam Photography was on hand to capture every gorgeous detail – many of them made by Laura herself! Laura married Dylan in St Mary’s Cathedral, a stunning Catholic church in Sydney, Australia. They exchanged vows at an altar bathed in the glorious summer sunlight streaming through the cathedral’s stained glass windows. After the ceremony, the bridal party got to have a little fun! Laura and her gorgeous bridesmaids – Laura in an ivory silk and French corded gown embellished with lace and with pearl strands cascading down her back, and her bridesmaids in soft coral goddess gowns – posed with giant white balloons tied with dangling peach ribbons.
After their portraits, the bride and groom followed their guests to nearby Scotland Island by boat. Laura said her favorite part of the wedding was disembarking at Bangalla and climbing the steps to the garden full of their guests – it was exactly like stepping into her vision made real, with romantic woodland tablescapes of moss and peach roses, twinkling fairy lights overhead, and more of her handmade work. With the help of her father and husband-to-be, Laura created all of their floral arrangements – including her elegant cascade bouquet -the secret garden cake topper, menus and invitations, even her pearl and crystal bridal headpiece! Her favorite detail was the personalized woodcut banner hanging between two trees, with a message for Dylan – ‘Every love story is beautiful…but ours is my favorite’.
Their guests loved it as well – after dining on a delicious reception dinner by The Hospitality Establishment, they wrote personalized messages on mini easels to leave for Dylan and Laura. International guests took home cards with seeds to be planted so they could ‘grow the love’, while locals took home potted succulents with sweet messages on their tags – handmade by Laura, of course!
