With the spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge spreading below the terrace of The Griffin House, this breathtaking outdoor micro wedding showcases the beauty of Oregon with a taste of the Amalfi Coast! Pops of Mediterranean blue, lemon yellow details, and fresh citrus Crystal Genes Photography helped Jaime Ta Creative bring their ‘secret garden boho meets Italy vibes’ inspiration to life in this stunning wedding inspiration shoot!
Mediterranean Blue and Yellow wedding ideas
Mediterranean blues, Amalfi Coast lemon yellows, and Moroccan tile patterns came together in Blue Bonsai Printing‘s invitation suite to create a getaway at this Oregon dream wedding venue!
With a hidden garden terrace overlooking the spectacular river views, the team knew they wanted ceremony inspiration that fit the landscape, not the other way around. Inspired by the vibrant colors and citrus groves of the Amalfi Coast, they chose lemon yellow, orange, and indigo for the altar arrangements. Bridge City Blooms created a flower ring that added pops of bright color to the lush green, winding river, and stone wall backdrop that gave this outdoor venue its fairy tale quality!
With COVID restrictions putting their wedding plans on hold, this sweet engaged couple were delighted to have the chance to work with wedding pros in a safe way and capture memories of a magical day together. They drove over four hours to The Griffin House to work with Crystal Genes Photography and Jaime Ta Creative, along with their dog Hershey, as their Best Man!
Ready for color! This fabulous farm table added Mediterranean blue, colorful florals, and pops of fresh lemon and orange with a long runner of vibrant flowers.
Patterned blue china and vintage glasses added rich cobalt to the tablescape, while each place setting featured a personalized lemon place card nestled in a sorbet dish to invite guests to take their seat at the intimate outdoor wedding reception!
Creative catering is the word these days, and this Portland Party Platters served up this mini charcuterie station!
The Swig Rig provided bar service, with a retro camper as the mobile cocktail service! They served Italian-inspired cocktails with Lemon and Blood Orange Floats for a summery beverage, and Lemon Palomas to add sweetness and sparkle.
A cozy lounge for the bride and groom offered a place to snuggle, along with the most stunning natural backdrop thanks to the Oregon landscape!
If this dream venue looks familiar, it’s because the Twilight movie was shot at Griffin House! The Prom scene where Edward and Bella danced took place on the river terrace overlooking the stunning sweep of the valley beyond. It made for the perfect location for this sweet couple to share their first dance, with an outdoor ‘ballroom’ nestled in the trees.
If you’re dreaming of Greece, The Dream Co. Bakery brings it closer with their blue Mediterranean tile cake design! The blue patterned layers are topped with yellow flowers and fresh citrus to create the perfect combination of Grecian style.
The couple were surprised at the behind the scenes bustle that went into making each moment of this shoot picture perfect – “We are so thankful to have seen the production side of weddings to fully understand the passion and art that goes into it. It takes a village to put on a wedding.”
